Thameside was famous for its "jingles", inserts, sketches whatever. Mainly recorded by the Birdman they created the personality of the station and contributed to the professional feel. Remember these predate Kenny Everett, Chris Tarrent and Victor Lewis-Smith!

I've just discovered that these are all available from Stephen Sykes' web site and more besides - I was sent these by somone else who didn't credit Stephen. Sorry.
