Thameside was famous for its "jingles", inserts, sketches whatever. Mainly recorded by the Birdman they created the personality of the station and contributed to the professional feel. Remember these predate Kenny Everett, Chris Tarrent and Victor Lewis-Smith!

In case you have forgotten what it all sounded like here are some recordings - many of these are copies of copes so the quality isn't that great. If you have better ones do please email. I've just discovered that these are all available from Stephen Sykes' web site and more besides - I was sent these by somone else who didn't credit Stephen. Sorry.
